my class photo Hi, my name is Debora Muñoz-Ricketson. I am currently serving as the Spanish teacher in St. Mary Catholic. This is my 22nd year serving in Brevard County and I have successfully developed and implemented a school-wide Spanish programs. I received my B.A. in primary and secondary education from the Sacred Heart University of Lima-Peru where I graduated with honors and was the class valedictorian.

I took coursework in English for two years at the ICPNA Institute in Lima. I was honored with the Steward Award for demonstrating outstanding academic achievement. I also hold the following certifications from the state of Florida: English for Speakers of Other Languages Endorsement, Prekindergarten/Primary Education (Age 3 – Grade 3), and World Language – Spanish (Grades K-12). I grew up in Lima, Peru and I am the youngest of three children. In Peru, I belonged to the Caritas organization whose mission is to help abandoned children in Peru. I live with my husband Tommy and my two fur babies Gizmo and Mia.
