It's Spring Break! I was going to be vacationing at the beach, but since we need to stay home during this quarantine, I've decided to take some virtual trips throughout the week. I started yesterday with cooking a meal using delicious spices from the Spice Souk in Dubai. So, I spent a few hours taking virtual Youtube tours of Dubai. It was really cool and I can't wait to do another one today. I will be posting some links to some virtual field trips we can take together this week. Though all of us are spending most of our time inside at home, enjoy yourselves and make sure to make it special, fun and meaningful. Remember to go outside and breathe in the fresh air and sunshine. I really miss seeing you all and have so enjoyed the photos, texts, phone conversations, emails and dojo messages.

VIRTUAL FIELD TRIPS:

1. Atlanta Zoo Panda Cam https://zooatlanta.org/panda-cam/

2. Mars https://accessmars.withgoogle.com/

3. The Sun https://amazingscie..al-tour-to-the-sun/

4. The San Diego Zoo https://kids.sandiegozoo.org/videos

4. Google Art and Culture https://artsandculture.google.com/

5. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park https://artsandcult..huku-lava-tube-tour

This as a great opportunity to support and continue to creatively impact our students and families during this unusual time in our nation.

I've updated some of your weekly work and will continue to add more throughout the week.

I really miss you all so much and life is not the same without seeing your happy faces every day. When you get a moment, please send me a short update on Class Dojo, by text, voice mail or email to let me know how you're doing. I'm always here for you and happy to help in any way that I can. Remember to take care of yourselves and each other. Eat healthy foods, drink plenty of water, get enough sleep, get outside and breathe some fresh air, continue to be active, and be kind to one another. It's easy to get frustrated and irritable when you're constantly with each other 24/7. Just remember that we're all in this together and this can actually be a really special time together with your family.

-------------------------------------------------------

*** I have a dear friend who has graciously offered to pick up and deliver some groceries to one of you who might really be needing some extra help right now. I know that it's far to the closest CCSD food pickup site and we're working on getting one that's closer to home for you. Contact me if this interests you.

Let's have some fun while we learn!
