Welcome Magical Memories Private Preschool Circle & Story Time
Circle Time is our beginning large group for our morning greeting and daily introduction. This is the time where we sing songs, greet one another, have shared time and find out what's expected of the day. Parents, please know your child is welcome to share daily, but no more than one item a day for sharing time. At Story Time we don't just read a book we explore the story! This Week Story-time Book Is: I Love you through and through by Burnadette Rossetti MONDAY we explore the book we previously chose. I like to explore the book and talk about the charters and look at the illustrations and talk about where the story took place and what was going on give a little knowledge of, to build curiosity as I get them involved by telling me the who what when where's and why of the story. Then we do a craft or activity of the story. TUESDAY we read the story and use puppets, games and other fun ways work on comprehension of the story and to see what the students retained. WEDNESDAY: Our class do a make and take for the story and have a continue discussion THURSDAY: We have a verbal quiz by allowing each child to retell parts of the story through a question and answer series then we re-read and rate the story. FRIDAY GO VOTE: kids vote on next week book and we read it and get 5 new words that we will define and learn throughout next week. I try to make reading fun to encourage our children to want to read. I find when a child understands and can comprehend the story they are more likely to want to read. So I go all out at Story Time. I couldn't do it without my ever so loving parents I would like to Thank sincerely all my parents who contribute items and their time to help make this all possible. *** We also have our book club where we encourage you to join with your child. It is a fun program and keeps children reading, Please ask for more information!Vocabulary Words & Meanings
