 Performing Class
Here is a list of performance opportunities for students. I will do my best but if there is a student ensemble in the area that is not listed please let me know and I will add it to the list.
Saint Mary School Choir - The choir at Saint Mary School is open to any students in grades 5 through 8. We perform at All-School Masses, Assemblies, Talent Show, Archdiocesan Choral Fest and many other opportunities. We rehearse once a week on Wednesday mornings at 7:45 a.m. in the Music Room.
Saint Mary Music Marvels - Music Marvels is open to any student at Saint Mary in grades 3 or 4. Along with choral music, Music Marvels also performs Orff arrangements and Bell Choir arrangements. We perform at the Archdiocesan Choral Fest, Talent Show and other events throughout the school year. Rehearsals are at 8 a.m. on Friday Mornings in the Music Room.
Saint Mary Parish Children's Choir - The Parish Children's Choir is open to any student who is a member of Saint Mary Parish in grades 3 through 8. The choir is directed by Katie Barton, the Director of Music and Worship at Saint Mary. Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights at 5:30 p.m. in the Church starting on October 18th.
Beginner Band - The Beginner Band is open to students starting in the 4th grade. Students can learn trumpet, trombone, flute, clarinet, saxophone and percussion. Rehearsals are on Tuesday mornings starting at 7:45 a.m. in the Music Room. The ensemble is directed by Chuck Lauterbach of The Music Staff.
