Classroom Home {2023-2024}

Hi, Everyone,

It is so hard to believe that we only have one month left in the school year! We are all excited about the idea of summer break, but, please encourage your students to hang in there for four more weeks and focus on the work at hand.

This week we will be having our last traditional spelling list and test. You will find this list under the Spelling tab if you'd like to practice these words. For the final weeks, we will be having review lists with multiple choice tests. I will send a list each week with the review words so that you can practice these with your child.

Also, for these last few weeks we will be concentrating on the U.S. states in geography. For this unit, your student will be assigned a state to research for a state diorama project. I will send the information for this home on Monday. This project is meant to be a fun way for you and your child to research his/her assigned state and display the information on a shoe box. If you are stumped for ideas of how to create the diorama, a good place to look for ideas is on Pinterest. Just search for "diorama" and there should be a lot of pictorial ideas. Students will have two weeks to complete their projects. They will present these to the class for an oral presentation grade in Language.
