Supermarket Shopping Addition
You will need ads from your local grocery store. I would recommend one ad for each student. During this activity, students cut out two items they would like to buy and glue them in the large box. Then, they add the items up in the small boxes to the right, making sure they put the numbers in their correct place. Next, they add up their items to get a total of what they would spend. This is a great activity that relates to the real world.
