Hi, my name is Kim Holt. This is my sixth year with Hickory Public Schools. I graduated in 1988 from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. This will be my 15th year teaching. I have taught in both private and public education, kindergarten through sixth grades.

I am married to Paul and have 2 daughters-Sara, 30 and Hannah, 27 and 1 son, Jacob, 22. We also have a 2 year old chiweenie named "Jack Jack".

I grew up in the western part of Lincoln County on an apple farm. My parents inspired me to always work hard and do my best. From a very young age, I have wanted to be a teacher.

I am excited to be a part of the kindergarten team at Southwest Primary and am looking forward to having your child in my class!
