Learning objective for children for preschool music: Is to expose children to various types of musical experiences Children 5 and under during the preschool years need the opportunity to develop the following skills

* Listen attentively

* To be more aware of their bodies and to improve their physical coordination

* To keep a steady beat with body movement.

* To echo simple rhythmic patterns

* To move expressively to sound and music, using a growing range of movements

* To use their sing voice

* To experiment with instruments learning their name and sound

We will be learning about pitch, rhythm, dynamics, tempo, changing in tone and form. Because children experience the element of music through their voice and instruments Music Time will give them a chance to create and appreciate music. We will be doing this all by listening, moving, singing, dancing, and playing activities. Involving them in discovery, imitation, imagination, repetition, and improvisation.

Creative Music Time gives children opportunities to develop large motor skills by moving to the music and participating in other creative movement activities. It helps to improve balance, coordination, and rhythm through dancing and other movement activities. Learning finger plays and playing instruments are just some of many ways use to we improve small muscle movements. They will enjoy gaining a basic understanding of melody, rhythm, and movement.
